Short definitions of terms used throughout.
- Intent
- A signed description of a desired trade outcome, not a concrete transaction.
- Shielded intent
- An intent encrypted to the settlement circuit and bound to a note commitment.
- Note commitment (cm)
- A hiding, binding commitment to a note's contents, appended to the note tree.
- Nullifier (nf)
- A value revealed when a note is consumed; prevents reuse without linking to cm.
- Anchor
- A recent root of the note commitment tree against which membership is proven.
- Solver
- A registered party that computes and executes routes for intents.
- Sealed bid
- A committed quote plus executability proof, opened only for the winner.
- Atomic execution
- All hops of a route settle in one block or none do.
- Subnet
- A Bittensor network of miners and validators producing a specific digital commodity — here, leakage scores.
- Integrity score
- A solver's exponentially weighted leakage score stored in the registry.
- Halo 2
- The recursive, trusted-setup-free proving system used by Orchard.
